Is Shorter good enough to make Freshman All-American Team?

Tied for 18th in the Nation for TD catches

8th in the nation on Avg per Catch

2nd in Conference with TD Catches, 1st for AVG per Catch

Just wondering

Depends how he (and the team) finishes the season out.  I hope we can torch Rice next weekend but they've been stingy all season and played a lot of good teams close.  UAB doesn't seem to have the same defense they had last year.  It's a shame it's taken most of the season for the offense to get going (minus the debacle at La Tech).

Is he healthy?  He was carted off the field against La Tech and never heard an update.  Same with Hair-Griffen.

Oh Crap, I forgot about that!

I guess there wasn't a press conference since there was a bye week so we will have to wait to see. Hopefully Mason's head injury wasn't significant to linger for two weeks.

UNTlifer you have been correct all season about Shorter as the fastest guy on the team.
This summer they clocked him at 24 MPH in the 60 yard with a GPS tracking.
Just a side note for you

Just to give you guys an update.
X-rays came back negative but his ribs are still sore. Ribs are still a little sore.
He will try to workout and play against Rice.

That's great news!
Could he wear rib protectors like QBs do?  Or would that affect his mobility too much?

With his strength as well. He’s gonna be dangerous.

He and Bean could give us the basis of a great defensive secondary.

Except they don't play defense, and for all we know, never have.
