Honestly I would like to see us try and get Holtz away from La Tech. I am impressed how year after year he puts together really good recruiting classes and quality teams.

and he does it in a tougher situation than UNT

I don’t buy that—La Tech and Ruston have tradition, success, and a love of football and athletics to recruit to. We have none of that.

It’s just hard for me to see Skip Holtz leaving La Tech for another CUSA gig, especially when his recruiting pipeline is about 10x easier than it would be here.

We could triple his salary and his family would appreciate the upgrade geographically, I'm sure.

Thank you!!!! This is pointless because SL and Reeder and Reffett will be here next year

Not sure about Reffett, but the other two will be definitely. Just amazing how fast people turn their back on someone that has changed the entire culture of our program.

Just a stupid freaking thread.

Why? Because you didn't freaking say it? Did not say I wanted Seth gone. This is a compliment to Holtz and what he has built

sorry but SL earned this after last year ditching the team and pretty much no showing in the Bowl Game while he flirted with KState after already trying to leave previously to TN.

Again never said I wanted Seth gone. But he showed last year he is willing to listen to offers.

No, it is stupid because it is. As simple as that.

Seth ain’t going anywhere. Thanks to, well, himself. If he had plans to move up and out of our little green house he failed. A Bowl-less season just cooled off his hot bro-ness other ADs were after. Cue the Chris Chris music because after this loss, he just jumped out the window. But he’ll definitely be back you MFers!!!

Don't mind if Seth is back, but if he dosen't make a Defensive Coordinator change things will not change

He's changed the culture

But he's not a good football coach

After nearly 4 years I think it's safe to get to that conclusion

But he's not moving on.....we can't afford it

Did you see the pissant crowd for LaTech homecoming.  Tradition and winning don't mean much in Ruston.

That’s such BS. Did you see the stands?

In what universe is Ruston LA a better recruiting Pipeline than Denton, TX. Just because you have a superior recruiter there doesn't mean the pipeline is superior.

Holtz is superior to Littrell in every way. Recruiting is a big one.

Holtz is given a Honda and he tunes it perfectly....Littrell has a Mercedes handed to him but he doesn't know what to do with it.

Yep, took a hapless group to a bowl in year one, followed that up with two 9 win seasons.  This year has been tough and shows how fickle fans are and how many are much more knowledgeable than those in the coaching industry that respect the job SL has done.

I think it says more about the schedule he’s played and how unbelievably bad the previous coaches were.

9 win seasons vs almost a list of nobodies. Get muffin thumped vs ANYONE worth the pot they piss in and you're, predictably, swinging around on his jockstrap.

Next season, expect a whole lot of the same from this season. It's quite easy to see.

I was noticing just that. Two years ago the crowd was about the same. So, can someone tell me why so many talented players are so attracted to La Tech?

PS, they have a crappy band too.
