No shame in that performance. That is a ranked team that we took to the wire. Only gripe is this team really needs better shot selection but that will come with chemistry and playing time. Very excited for this season

Great effort. Sucks we couldn’t pull it out but great to build on. Hesitancy lost us this game from what I saw. Gibson has to be more assertive. I know Mccasland likes us to run the clock down but late you gotta be looking to shoot.

Love the fight, but can’t believe we didn’t even get a shot off the last two possessions.

No point guard, no movement. Very frustrating. I hate losing a very winnable game because of piss poor ball control at the end.

Surely we aren’t going to go a full 50 years without beating a ranked team right? We are only a few years from it.

We were ranked #20 in the API poll in 1976. A great year for North Texas athletics.

You know that NT played 3 point guards, and were playing to shoot the ball until the last 5 seconds.

This was a game against the number 25 team and in their house with a sellout crowd.

Only loss because their player hit two clutch threes in the last minute after missing every 3 attempt up to that point.

Very encouraging game, this should be a fun season.

I agree it was a great game and we should be solid this season, but we will miss Woolridge even if we don’t fully understand it yet. I do think our last possessions cost us the game. Gibson made some poor decisions late.

Yep. And I am a big fan of the tougher OOC schedule.

Tougher OOC schedule will benefit us from an experience perspective and when it comes to the postseason as we saw with Marshall, ODU, and WKU last year
