Probably just barely. I was about to ask the same question/say the same thing.

We're not good, but neither is CUSA on the whole.

Not enough has changed here. If we can't win 6 this year, then it's more like nothing has changed.

I have to believe we can beat Rice, UAB & UTEP. Then just need 1 more between La Tech, Middle Tennessee and Charlotte. We can do that. But we won’t be in any more conference championship discussions.

I hate seeing this for his sake. If we continue to struggle, Mason will still, IMO, go down as a UNT great, but I think if we had won the conference he was on his way to "Legend" status before this year.

I think we'll still get to 6 wins and earn a bowl invitation, that's a reward for the players and coaches for their hard work, and I think we should only accept a bowl in the metroplex area or Shreveport, that's a reward for all those people that make their scholarships and salaries possible.

Yes, especially if it's a local bowl. It gives us additional practice time, local publicity, and a little bit of bragging rights of at least going to a bowl. And, its still a lot of fun if we win in front of a lot of our own fans. Beating UNLV in the HOD was no monumental event in collegiate history, but it was still a lot of fun.
