Tarleton State University joining WAC in Div 1

Looks like joining WAC for olympic sports and becoming a Div 1 - FCS independent in football.

interesting, I would think the Southland would take them in once fully Division 1, would be a good travel partner for ACU.

The rumor has has been for 15 years that once TSU addressed their gym issue(way too small) that they would be next in line for any SLC expansion.  Instead they rebuilt their football stadium and completed it just in time for the 2019 season.  After their win over SFA last month they rose to #4 nationally in DII.
