It was a fun bit 10-15 years ago that's gone through a handful of writers, each slightly less clever and original than the last. 

If the Sports Rapist Hall of Fame were still an ongoing feature, I think it would have long exhausted whatever charm it started with. So goeth the Bottom 10.

Maybe the premise should be altered from chastising the the lowest caste in D1, as some pathetic programs never seem to leave the list. Maybe, instead, list the ten schools that are having the worst week; beaten by 1AA, crushed by huge margin, lost to bitter rival, or even lost face due to off-field antics.

Right.  The sole reason anyone tuned into this thing anymore is to see who landed at #5 this week.

True, how many weeks/seasons in a row can you keep beating on UMass, UConn, Utep, Utsa and other unfortunates and it still be funny? *Hint*  Most of those schools are going to lose every game this season, and most seasons, except when they play each other or 1AA schools.
