This offense

Assuming this O-Line can continue to give Siggers the holes he needs, isn't this the offense we always wanted for FIne?

Yesterday he dropped back to pass 23 times, was hurried twice and the only real hit he took was flagged for a roughing the passer (questionable, possibly a make-up call for earlier). he was still very efficient, completing 68% of his passes for 2 touchdowns and no picks. And he drove the team 61 yards down the field in 26 seconds for a FG before halftime.

Meanwhile, he handed the ball off 28 times and was out of the game by the fourth quarter, when we were up 38-3.

I know every opponent will not roll over like UTSA did, but this is the dream.

Absolutely. Also, in spite of some drops as he's gotten his feet wet, I'm very hopeful that Shorter can be a downfield threat for us with Rico out. We really haven't been able to take advantage of the deep ball with an consistency so if we can get that going it really gets the offense complimenting itself in many ways. Very encouraged by our ability to run the ball. La Tech is going to be an interesting one. Those guys are doing some cool things with their running game but are way too reliant on that. If we can get the deep passing game to start to click more I feel a lot more confident in our ability to beat them.

I think Littrell/Reeder will take what the defense gives.

UTSA was playing a lot of cover 2 and other schemes (can't blame them, I'd be afraid of Fine too) that left the run game & underneath dink/dunk passes a little more free. If other teams decide to key on Siggers, they'll have to come up closer to the line, and when they do that, Fine will kill them.

IMHO...Our competion has figured out the passing game..unfortunately for them they forgot about the running game that has three good RB's! Mean Green Texan is right....the running game should open up the passing game.
