Rice is definitely going to jump up and bite somebody who thought they had em. Lets hope that somebody is not NT. Rice also looked ok against army. Now they still need to make some strides on offense, but somebody who is otherwise in the hunt for the west title will turn it over to them enough for them to come up with a W.

Agree. I keep seeing these unexpected out of whack scores from the owl games. They are not UTEP or utsa level anymore.  That November date could be more intense than first thought.

I hope that Rice beats UAB! I think they play Rice before we do.

UTEP played Nevada close for three quarters.  It will be interesting to see how their season progresses.  I think UTSA is starting to quit on Wilson.

Back on topic, Rice has played everyone tough.  They slow the game down to their speed and have been effective because they just don't have the overall talent yet.  Bloomgren is one to keep your eye on though.  Coming from Stanford, he understands what it is like to recruit to a school with difficult academic standards.
