I am not ready to throw in the towel on SL yet. I know these SRs are his recruits, but to be fair, they are really a bunch of 2 star or less players because he got them after getting hired and really didn't have much time to recruit. The next year he was still fighting an uphill battle to convince kids to come here. He had to win first. Once he started to win and revamped recruiting, our recruiting picked up. I believe those good recruiting classes are all Freshmen or Sophomores. I can give him a couple of years, but after that, the seat has to start warming up.

So at what point is SL good? He's improved over Mccarney sure...

but our OC and DC are both poor. Recruiting didn't fill the holes. We got out coached in this, 3 bowl games, and how many other 2nd half flops?

I like the guy. But I'm starting to wonder if he is THE guy?

This is dumb. I will take 9 win seasons over the crap I've watched the 15 years prior. We haven't given him an opportunity to correct the issue. Individual players are getting exploited. Gotta fix that problem.

I will gladly eat my words if things improve. GLADLY. But we've been headed downhill for about a year now. I've lived through the dark ages. The days of dodge, big and lil' Mac. The seat has to start getting hot at some point if we want to trend up, not back down. This really feels like a down to me...

Overall the trend has been up and I'm having trouble picking a game for a peak.

Looking at where we are from where we have been, I don't expect to win every game, but I do expect to be competitive against SMU (which I did not see). If we have a poor season - and I agree it is looking that way - the seat will get hot. We have budget and donors that cannot get complacent, but at 2 games into the season after an overall pretty good season, discussing the HC position now is premature.

So far Reeder looks like a mistake, and Reffitt needs to get shit in order. I trust SL will make corrections so the DC position if need be, by the end of the season if this stuff keeps up.

CAN THE DC!!

I have no idea why Reffert has a job still.

Is he someone's Brother in Law?  Does he have incriminating naked pics of someone with authority at UNT?  Or are we Old Dentoning to the max by keeping someone around who isn't right for the job?

My body is ready for the downvotes, so I'll start another season with my favorite mantra: #FireReffert
