So I am watching the Cincinnati Bearcats host UCLA.  So I am wondering are we just 10,000 seats (Nippert has 40k) s away from hosting a team like UCLA in prime time on a Thursday?  Assuming that Coach Littrel stays for 2020 season and maybe just  little beyond that can and should we expect to have a game event like the one Cincinnati just had?  A long time ago the Bearcats and the Mean Green competed in the same conference so I don't think it is out of the question.   I just think it is very surprising that UCLA would travel 2 time zones away on a Thursday to play in a 40,000 seat stadium.

Cincinnati was ranked last year.   And they hosted a P5.    Maybe if things keep trending up and NT is ranked at the end of this season, the Cal game here next year could be televised.  Apogee was made with media in mind, so I'm sure ESPN would love coming out here.

Chip's seat at UCLA must be scorching hot... but that's actually not a bad loss for them because Cincy is a very good squad.

What will really put us over top is an oversold Champ game at the Ap with a win! I would be curious to know how many temp seats we could add?

I doubt they add temporary seat but I’d be more than happy to be wrong. The more in there the better

First game in year 2, he still has some time. Gotta find a worthwhile QB though, DTR was atrocious last night.

Aren't we hosting Texas Tech and Oklahoma State in the future?

We don't host Tech until 2027.  There in 2024.

Cal doesn't come here until 2022.

I don’t believe there’s anything on the books with Oklahoma State

Correct.  Just looked and we have Cal, TX Tech,  Memphis, Wyoming, Tulane and Baylor on future schedules.
