Three games which are against very legitimate teams, but none are close to the Top 25 in the country. CBS has SMU at No. 94 entering the year which is very low to me, but California and Houston are hovering around 60 on par with North Texas. They are three teams who have high upside but can also fall into mediocrity again, so we’ll see how North Texas handles the challenge of a more rigorous non-conference schedule, especially with two on the road.

I see our non conference as 1-3 and season as 5-7. Shane Buchelle will light up our D.

You think we're going 4-4 in conference? Please tell me where 4 losses come from. At MOST with a collapse of the defense and Fine going down, I see 3 losses

LaTech, UAB, UTSA, USM or MTSU

UAB no longer has a team full of grown men playing against boys. They will regress significantly this season. UTSA is a dumpster fire and even they doubt they will win much this season. Other than that, I count the other games as toss ups and don't really know what to expect from MTSU this year

Seeing as they just lost their version of Mason Fine in C-USA "MVP" Brent Stockstill, and historically, Rick Stockstill's MT teams are the epitome of a roller coaster (seems like he'll have 3-4 8+ win seasons followed by 3-4 5- win seasons...), the downturn may be dramatic.

That's what I thought too, but I admittedly haven't been following them this off-season so I didn't want to say for sure. Naturally losing a 7 year, 30-year old (joke) QB would hurt any program.
