The North Texas Mean Green finished a successful season in 2018 with a 9-4 record, going 5-3 in Conference USA play. A 44-17 blowout win of Arkansas in non-conference play highlighted a stellar season for third-year head coach Seth Litrell. The 9-4 record gave UNT back-to-back 9-win seasons (9-5 in 2017), and meant a third consecutive bowl trip for the Mean Green, making Litrell the first North Texas coach to lead his team to bowls in his first three seasons.
