...saw this on Instagram. Wish we would break out these great looking uniforms at least once a year!

It was a great day. 

Days like Rice second butthole ripper, the double FAU pool party, and recent bowl games I wish I could erase.

Thank goodness for Wren Baker.  The previous person occupying his office would have refused to place the N T on the helmet

If it doesn't say NORTH TEXAS, how will they ever know who we are??

NT is very confusing.  Is it Northern Tennessee?  Nebraska Tech?  Nevada Tigers?  I mean, NT could be any number of schools.😁

I like the idea of those unis being a Homecoming tradition.

I have 2011 and 2014. In both we're pretty much the new Alabama within about 5 seasons (multiple time national champs and multiple top 3 recruiting classes).

I remember the statue and offense predictably stalling over and over, and yes the 'kick' in the nuts. Great day indeed outside of the nut kick and the walk back to the car scolding anyone that would listen about how this offense can't get out of their own way vs quality opponents.

Best home game atmospheres I’ve been a part of:

#1- 2018 LaTech.  The NORTH - TEXAS chant on third down, followed by the sack...incredible.

#2- 2003 Baylor.  Booger fumble return for TD shook the stadium

#3- 2002 NMSU.  Conference championship, close game, another Booger fumble recovery late in that one while band played in the middle of the home side stands.  Was the largest home crowd I’d seen to that point for a conference game.

#4- 2013 Rice. The Stand

The Rico jet sweep TD was the absolute loudest I've ever heard Apogee.

And there was 1 3rd down against UH where it was booming loud, and KD got the TFL

That dogfight against Army where Trevor Moore drilled the game winner with 5 seconds left was ELECTRIC.

      Honest tactical question here…

      Yall can lay the blame of this all at the feet of the Pirate. Leach having some success at Texas Tech, at a time when A&M fell apart and Baylor was non-competitive, while nobody else but Texas was a Big 12 school, led to him getting some kind of legendary status. And his influence on TX HS football went off the charts, because it was “more fun for the kids”…and it basically destroyed the development of linemen on both sides of the ball and made defense a part of the game that just needs a stop or two per half. Hell, Art Briles said that out loud. Just get a stop or two. So now, we get the luxury of seeing a short yardage situation have the QB in shotgun, with a running back behind him, all about 4-5 yards behind the line of scrimmage, trying to get a yard. And then the coaches look exasperated when we don’t pick up the first down/TD, as we get tackled behind the line of scrimmage.

      I don't hate baseball, but what I don't like is people who seem to want something for nothing . A dream with out a plan is still just a dream and far I have seen no plan to fund a venue. I went to a health care seminar years ago where a woman who's husband was terminally ill. About 70% of a dying patients hospital bill is generated in the last 24 hours trying to keep them alive. She said that she didn't care what it cost as long as she didn't have to pay for it. Based upon lack of football and basketball support at UNT why would you think that baseball " would lure fans in the spring, spur donations, as well as tickets and and merchandise. "However in the future, which is now, universities will be forced to look at at profit and loss is the athletic department just like the rest of the universities departments. My definition is revenues less expenses equals profit or loss.Based upon your definition of revenue sports swimming would fall into that category if we charged dollar to attend a meet, passed around a collection plate, and sold swim caps. In summary UNT has only so many beans in the pot and to waste them on a very expense non revenue sport seems ridiculous.
