He currently has no 247 rating.  He had only three other offers...Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Illinois State, and Liberty.

But in Walerius and Littrell I trust.  They don't seem to miss on many.  He seems to have very good closing speed.  I remember that Khairi Muhammed wasn't highly rated by 247 and he is our best defensive back now, at least until the two graduate transfers get on board.

I am still curious why he is so lightly recruited

Couple of thoughts -- Woodrow is getting more notice as of late but it is not typically considered a bell cow school in DISD as say Skyline, Carter etc.  So not as many eyes on him there.  That seems to be changing though as Woodrow is churning out some good players.  He is now transferred to Dallas Madison.  DISD is pretty crazy as you can basically transfer easily from school to school.  So it can be harder to keep tabs on players there.

He also jumped on the radar screen his junior year with 6 interceptions, including one pick in the 1st series of a road win against Frisco.

He also ran a 4.56 at a recent camp and was on the area champions relay team in track...

He switched to Dallas Madison after his junior season at Woodrow and turned out to be a good basketball player as Madison would go on to win the state 3A championship over Brock.   Tavorice came off the bench in one game and scored 18 points.

His offer list was not stellar but he did show a Liberty offer which in my opinion carries some clout -- Hugh Freeze landed there and they have tons of money to hire quality assistants.  I suspect Liberty will be raising their recruiting prowess significantly while Freeze is there.

If you look at his HUDL video his coverage ability and speed is evident:

This is just another example of why the recruiting services struggle with evaluating some high school players and their rating system is built more on which p5 teams offer.

why?

He left the program. I guess college football wasn't for him. We should really stop taking kids that transfer high schools on a regular basis. Good luck with your future endeavors.
