There is a difference between a business relationship and a personal one. When coaches get fired they are told " nothing personal, just business." When they leave on their own we take it personal, but again its just business. I think that in Hodge's case he was not at the top of WVU's list but the job dropped in his lap. He certainly gave us a days work for a days wages and I wish him and his family well. At the end of the day, no matter what he said or implied prior to departing to the media, administration, staff, players, fans and NIL contributors, it was just business .
I disagree. I don’t think that is even a consideration, but Buzz hit the road because of lack of support/attendance. The Aggies have the resources to hire anyone, but Williams out word out that the support isn’t there from the students, etc. Nobody thinks of A&M when basketball in Texas is mentioned.
I agree. I thought he was rounding into a “go to” player about mid season but he kind of plateaued. The young man has a huge upside, but as noted above, his ball handling needs a lot of work. We will miss his defense, which reminded me of A Scott with the weak side help/blocks. I wish he would stay, but that isn’t the way of today’s ball player.
