I was thinking the same thing! Who's coming back?

It's a little scary to think about but we have to ask the question. Is Ryan coming back? He's about to graduate. There's gotta be a couple of programs trying to woo him away. (hopefully not though)

He would probably be the most likely to not be on the team next season, but I still believe he will return and we will run with what we have.

A lot of guards, only one forward listed.

This team needs help in the front court.  NT returns starting guards Smart, Woolridge and Gibson.  Others include Draper, Johnson and Wise.   Unless NT has some much better than we think bigs returning to help Zack Simmons, that should be the number one recruiting priority.

My guess NT will recruit two more shooting guard/wing players.  Add one or more bigs to replace bigs that don't have their ships renewed.

Dang good work, JayD. Big question is how many of the 10 non-senior scholarship players are coming back. A lot of interest for two spots.

Thanks Billy. I wouldn't be surprised to see one or 2 transfers.

I wonder why what you said would got a down vote?

Almost all of my posts get a downvote or two on this board. And I could not care any less.

My guess as to why we are mainly seeing guard offers is because the guys who we might see asked to transfer are post players. If we see any of them transfer then I would expect more offers to guys like James Jean Marie. Our problem down low is quality more than quantity.

I think these are exactly the size recruits we should be targeting.

ODU ran away from the pack in CUSA.

Their top 7 scorers were:

Stith - 6'5"  Carver - 6'2" Green - 6'6" Goodwin - 6'5" Kithcart - 6'1" Ezikpe - 6'7" Wade - 6'5"

They have a 7 footer but he averaged 3.2 pts and 3.6 reb per game.

Our top 7 scorers were:

Gibson 6'1" Woolridge 6'3" Smart 6'3" Miller 6'3" Duffy 6'1" Simmons 6'9" Draper 5'10"

There are size differences there to be sure, but they aren't as extreme as a few have made them out to be. The guard out of SA Wagner is smaller than Duffy but arguably a better player. if we can bring in two recruits that are in that 6'4" to 6'6" range than our size matches well with theirs moving forward. Agree with Billy on quality vs quality.

Size, Size, Size in watching some of the NCAA Tournament games how many plays are off a forward at the free throw line setting picks and the center staying underneath? Majority of the teams we played had long and athletic forwards.

ODU had the same problem as us while being bigger than us and it was creating offense consistently.

Need guys with size who can finish at the rim.

North Texas landed its top two recruiting targets in Reese and Hamlet.

Boom. Well done. Hope this is how the staff treats our scholarship openings from here on out instead of giving it to guys who no one else wants after the players other people did want signed elsewhere.
