College of Visual Arts at North Texas can send in a good replacement...it is a quality program.

Only two schools in Galveston that I know of.  UT Medical School and Texas A & M Galveston.

I will say this, IMO, Wren does not seem to be one that will "lower the bar" for the replacement. I truly believe his replacement will be excellent

UNT has had incompetent/complacent people at all of the levels of management regarding athletics for decades.  They  continued the status quo of filling many of the important positions in the AD with mediocre performers at best. 

Well, that's no longer the case. 

I realize that losing Brett is a big loss, but I'm confident that if a qualified replacement is available, we'll get him.

Sounds like he's doing this for personal reasons, so I hope the best for Brett.

I hate losing him, but I have to believe there is someone out there that can pick up where he left off and continue the great work.
