Where did you see that? I posted that it’s the most likely way they’ll do it but I haven’t seen it posted anywhere

That can't be right. Then 3 seed gets completely screwed. 3 has to play 1 and 2 on the road?

1 should get 2 and 5 at home. 3 and 4 on road.

2 gets 3 and 4 at home. 1 and 5 on road.

It would require winning on the road to jump the teams in front of you, which is the most fair. And is the most likely way that the 1 seed going to go 4-0 and boost their NET so they could maybe get in without winning ge tournament. Although that isn’t happening anymore.

Your way makes sense too. Just means the 1 seed has to play the 3 seed on the road, which might not be seen as that favorable for the conference trying to setup an at-large bid.

And you know this because???

Know what?

That we won by 27...well, that was the difference between their score and ours

Or that he only got 5 minutes of playing time...well, I can read a box score.

Pretty sure both of those facts are comfortably assertable.

I think it was only set up to stop the top seeds from play utep or Charlotte twice or maybe 3 times. Not making it tougher for 2-4 down the stretch.

If we are the 2 seed and ODU is the 1 and we have to play in Virginia twice lose both games and lose conference by 1 game I will be pissed.

If we are one game back of ODU going into pod play that will be because we lost to them at their place and would have to go back there and play them again?

Im getting angry thinking about this possibility.

Who do you think can dribble the ball the fastest on this team?

I'm glad because their fans talked a lot of trash on the CUSA board a few weeks ago about our soft schedule.

Very true.  Not much respect from Marshall fans.  So glad the “thundering turd” went down big tonight.

WKU needed double OT to bear Rice tonight. Hopefully they’ll be tired Saturday. A win against WKU basically guarantees us a top pod spot.

Rice will sometimes play up to their competition

I cannot remember, but I was trying to explain to a few coaches at work why my conference doesn’t have 4 games listed yet and we were sitting around and I remember seeing it come up. I just remember that what we all were talking about seeing it somewhere. Maybe somebody dig up your post haha. (They aren’t members here)

Maybe the interent quoted you.... haha

Any chance the conference doesn’t have a set format for bonus play and is just going to pick matchups? Surely not, right?

I was thinking the kinda maybe a little know what's gonna happen.

I really think having played already on the road should be a huge factor in a conference this large and spread out.

I just don’t understand why the crowds aren’t bigger. Maybe it will just take a little time. The last year of JJ we averaged over 4,000 and didn’t even win 20 games.

I don't know what the energy is like on campus now but I remember freshman orientation in 2011 my group leader was talking up the basketball team big time. Seemed like they also made it a point to talk about our possible one and done Tony Mitchell. The program had been successful for several years and you could tell as an incoming freshman.

Hopefully the upperclassmen these days are also doing their part to get the new kids excited about the Super Pit despite experiencing Benford Ball a couple years ago.

Looks like the 3 seed has the toughest road.  And...we're the current 3 seed.

This bonus play is moronic but what can you expect from a conference that on the same night has last year’s conference champion that went two rounds deep in the big dance matched up with last year’s CBI National Champion.....playing in Denton,... but instead chooses to televise wKYj at Rice at it’s pathetic looking high school gym and about what looked like maybe 50 in attendance on CBS Sports.

Judy McCleod needs to be replaced.

I agree! The presidents of this Conference need to move swiftly in replacing her. My fear is they will come after Baker. I believe he could make CUSA the top G5 conference very quickly. The conference needs someone with his talent and abilities but just not him!!!! We need him more.

This really makes the 5 spot look desirable.  One could make a case that if you aren't going to snag the top slot, then 5 is the next best option.

Yes, but they haven't taken into consideration head to head on the site.  CBS Sports last night had the correct order.
