The NCAA got so mad at Alabama, that it gave Missouri a postseason ban for a crooked tutor. Seems less serious that what happened at UNC a couple of years back, but there you go. Isn't there a FBI investigation going on at KU?

I think I read their seniors can transfer without sitting out. Seems strange to me to allow that just bc of a bowl ineligiblity.

Why punish players who had no part in the bad act by denying them a chance at post season play?

Why does the NCAA punish players at these "lower" P5 institutions when they should be directing their anger towards Alabama?  How does the NCAA justify this after letting UNC off the hook?

No one is entitled to a bowl game. Should players be allowed to transfer without penalty if the team misses a bowl game? Hell players are now intentionally skipping bowls to avoid injury as seniors.

Players who are projected to be drafted are skipping bowl games in an effort to protect their draft status. There is huge financial risk involved if they get hurt and drop down in the draft. Also, not everyone will be in the NFL, so it's not everyone skipping bowl games; just those who are projected to be drafted skipping bowl games.

As to the bowl games, if Mizzu were to go 9-3 next season and can't go to a bowl game because of the NCAA sanctions, how is it fair to the players that had no part in the bad act who would have played in a bowl game had Mizzu not be in this situation?

So you are saying players should avoid the SEC in general?

Mizzou has had lots of issues for quite a while, both in the athletic department and especially institutionally. They had a 25% enrollment drop and a major donation drop after the entire BLM stuff and the professor who openly tried to ban a student reporter from interviewing the protestors.

Their AD left Mizzou for Baylor--that should tell you all you need to know about their situation.

If you walk into every SEC AD and can see a train-wreck that goes on to associate with Baylor then, yes, avoid the SEC.

And there are 6 and 7 win teams that don’t get invited. There have been bowl eligible teams that decline an invitation. You still have not made the point that missing a bowl should result in the deee transfer of players. This isn’t like UAB getting shut down.
