They exceeded my preseason expectations. The face of the team changed so drastically over the year with Wilson and Roniger leaving, Johnson providing more than anyone thought, Jerome dramatically cutting down on mental mistakes, and Leonard getting in shape and healthy. I am pleased with the season in hindsight and hope that Coach Jones brings in the recruits we need to take the next step up.

This is a tough one sense they beat some good teams.. ask baylor and la-la. But again, the tournament was a big disappointment... you can't win if your always playing catch-up and attempting bad shots. With the team we had we SHOULD have been in the conference finals. UNO was no where near that good of a team. Worse, I think next year is going to be scary if we don't get some more high power players next year.

So you really expected them to be as good as they were before the season started?

I hoped for a .500 year. I didn't expect more than 10 victories though.

After what i saw last year, I think anything was an impovement.

I think Shawnson Johnson did a lot to make the team better. If Coach Jones can somehow build on last season's improvement, we can at least match what we did.

But let's not forget we had a couple of guys get hurt the previous season right before conference play. That definetely influenced our weak conference showing that year.
