The Stars have traded for RW Valeri Bure from Florida and D man Chris Therien from Philly.

Bure as 45 points in 55 games and will probably play with Lehtinen and Modano.

Therien will be used as insurance and should be the # 7 D man for now.

Armstrong also said the Stars might pick up another D Man to get a solid 8 for the playoffs!

I'm really curious to see what Bure can do with Lehts and Modo!

Big game tonight agains the Pens as this is supposed to be a sure win on the road!

The Nucks lost last night, so we could move to within 1 of them and could even tie the Sharks if they lose! biggrin.gif

Go Stars!

who did we trade?

We traded 3 marginal draft picks and a prospect I've never heard off.

That is for both Bure and Therien.

We also picked up a D-man who was playing in Sweden; He played the last 3 years for Minnesota.....

So we are shored up on defense and Bure could helped the Modano line score some more goals. biggrin.gif

It is Valeri Bure, not Pavel.  Plus, any man named Valeri worries me.

Valerie is very good. He is Pavel's younger brother. Personally I have never liked, but actually despised Pavel. It was in the Stars first season in Dallas, during the 2nd round of the playoffs in which Pavel cross checked and drove Shane Churla into the ice from the high slot.

Valerie is a very fast and very talented player. And btw, he is married to Full House's Candace Cameron. So Id say he did pretty well in that department.
