Anybody else notice that some (4) coaches still like UNT as a Top 25? I just assumed we'd be off both lists after losing to UTSA, but I was pleasantly proven wrong

One of those votes had to be from the UTSA coach as a "courtesy shout-out" to the refs.

Amen.

But... We really did play down to their level most of the game. And if you were at the game, Grant let the players know it. Several times they couldn't look him in the face coming out of the game.

I like to see one game we come out fast and keep the gas down until the last second.

Basketball is such a give and take and the first 10 minutes at least are just back-and-forths determining who has the hot shooting that night. Unless you're Zion Williamson, some nights you're on, some you're off, and that goes for damn near every player in the NCAA. I'm hoping Grant McCasland brings in the players that can provide more consistency than this group, because although we're having a great season so far, they're wildly streaky.

i have not missed a game this season.  It just seems every game we go into a period of bad passing which result in turn overs.  They can look great with their passing but sometimes it is no so good.

Lost a few votes, but we're still chugging along, needing Duffy to come back, and some support from the coaches.

We actually received 2 MORE votes this week to now 9 total.  According to the coaches, we are the 29th best team in college basketball.

And still ahead of Texas.

Would be 28, it looks like.

Disappointing, but not unexpected. It is hard to hold or garner additional votes when you just stop winning games. It is almost as if we hit our magic number (20) and called it a season. Let's face it...

Are you not aware of NT's injury situation?  I think NT is far from just calling it a season.

I actually thought about this as we saw votes steady at the 7-9 range a couple weeks ago. I think that's the reason voters will still calling us a Top 25 team while Duffy and others were injured. Problem is, for example, Duke wouldn't be number 1 without Zion Williamson if it kept losing. Surprisingly, it didn't work out like normal for us.
