I really hate seeing this because it tells me we don’t have a clue or are really reaching.  We have never recruited Highland Park well because they have an elitist Ivy League and SMU type culture.  Attending UNT as viewed by their rich kid peers would be the equivalent of serving time in Huntsville prison.    Same for Southlake, the only time we had success there was when their HS coach Dodge was HC at NT and even then most of those kids transferred out or quit school. Same for Jesuit, Kinkaid In Houston et al...

Our focus needs to be Dallas ISD and other DFW area / Texas Public high schools along with transfers from P5’s and traditional juco players that are from the real world and will appreciate what UNT has to offer and thrive.

Not sure if Morris is the "country club" type kid.  True, he has spent his high school years living in Highland Park, but his dad had moved around quite a bit prior to arriving there in 2011.  He has lived in Tulsa, Clemson, SC, Austin/Lake Travis, Bay City and Stephenville.

Only if Morris gets a HC job (which I highly doubt he will).

He will get a P5 OC job and his son will follow. Morris as we know is a strong recruiter. Cumby gone at TCU?

He will follow his dad. Don’t waste time.

I am happy with Renfro and I think we get Finnegan in camp next year.

OC = stepping stone.  He’ll be back at another G5 school soon, and his son won’t transfer to follow.

Its one thing if your dad’s the boss, it’s another if he’s just an OC.

Exactly. Plus, Chandler is an EE. I doubt Chad has an OC job by the time fall signing day rolls around. And even if he does, he’ll be looking for a new HC job a year later.

Would like to know if we're just not being aggressive with transfers or if UNT is just a place were transfers are not interested. Following on 247 I am seeing 3* and 4* P5 players transferring to many G5 schools
