UTEP broadcast linked Grant McCasland to the UCLA job which became open late last year after Steve Alford was fired. Others rumored for that job are Musselman (at Nevada), Marshall (at Wichita State), Hoiberg (former Bulls HC), Donovan (Thunder), Bennett at (UVA).

If so, that is some good company to keep.

I’ve said it before.  When Mason Fine comes onto the field for his senior season, Grant McCasland will be there to greet him.

The coaching rumor/carousel stuff that’s going on this season is wild to me.  Really makes me wonder how far media-types will go for clicks, and agents will go for leveraging more $$.

ive thought of all this before, it just seems like it’s all on steroids this year.

There are a lot of blue blood basketball programs in the dump this year. Or it seems that way to me. Maybe that’s what’s causing the upswing in rumors on Mid Major coaches?
