Memphis's Tyreek Smith Hits Portal Hours Before Opener
I'd take him from a talent standpoint in a heart beat. He's from Baton Rouge but attended Trinity Christian Academy (Cedar Hill) where he lead them to their private school's state championship. I really wanted him at UNT but he signed with Texas A&M. We are starting to bring in a number of 1 year players as well, so why not. Great rebounder and shot blocker at 6-9. Don't really think there would be mutual interest though.- 1

During the couple times I helped tear them down in the early 2000’s, we marched them all the way to Fry St. Those of you wanting to just toss it in the pond outside the stadium really need to think bigger. 🙄 I remember Wings Sports Bar on Fry St even mounted one of the posts up in their rafters. I believe Lou’s did the same if I remember correctly. That was a long time and many beers ago. It was cool to see for a couple days until the school came by to reclaim their stolen property. 😂
