Cal is horrible.  Their QB is horrible and their OC is even worst.  Their back was making solid gains towards the end of the game twice in two separate drives...and twice chose to pass that turned into interceptions.

9 interceptions combined in this game.

North Texas will GREATLY have the better QB next fall.

Cal looked bad from top to bottom. But it's hard to judge a team from a bowl game. Traveling to Berkeley will be a logistic challenge for us. The match up seems like a good one though.

Why?  Plenty of nonstop flights to San Fran or Oakland.

Logistics as in keeping the team focused and prepared. If you recall we lost against ODU after having to travel to VA. About the same distance, but Cal will be better.

American service between DFW and OAK is bad. We had an 11:30 am return cancelled last summer, and next flight out was 12 hours later. Not an AA hub, and no backup aircraft. SFO or San Jose are probably better options.

I’ll bet the coaches’ wives would love to make that trip.

I believe we charter our flights so that shouldn't be an issue.  This isn't a logistical issue. Traveling should not be a problem, preparation and focus throughout the game are issues we can address and overcome.

Cal defense is very good.

This will be the best D Littrell has faced since maybe Florida?

They beat some really talented teams this year. USC, Washington (Pac 12 champs), Colorado....nearly beat Washington St on the road (held Leach's offense to 19 points)

Cal is a good team on the rise. We will be double digit underdogs.

Southwest has a few flights more a day from DAL-OAK. They also fly to SFO and San Jose.

I thought the same thing after the La Tech loss but it happened time and time again but Hopefully something changes and its a new team next year in the 2nd half of games.
