I guy I would love to see is Duffy at TT as a transfer! I believe we had a verbal from him before TT came  it last minute!

No way.  You should google that guy.

Also, I'm not sure who you're thinking of, but Duffey had been committed to Tech for a very long time prior to signing.

Another sign the program is evolving:

Every time a "(insert P5 player here) is transferring" thread started in the past, I read it. Initially, I was filled with hope that we had a chance to add a potential impact player at a position of need. As the thread grew, and schools were added that the player was considering, my hopes started to dwindle when NT wasn't on the list, but I dreamed the stealth recruiting happening behind the scenes would steer said player our way. When the player signed elsewhere, especially if it was to a CUSA school or $MU, I was devastated, reaching into my feelings basket to find the one next to every single time I heard, "I wouldn't go out with you if you were the last guy on earth."

Conversely, when one of these transfers went our way, I was joyful. Sometimes they panned out (Trice, Guyton, et al). Sometimes they didn't. But hope sprung eternal.

This thread is interesting. If it happens, great! If not, I like our chances otherwise.

Love where we are heading right now. Ride the wave.

I am thinking he ends up at Arkansas.

Early in the season Harry and I had a brief conversation about SR. We both were not impressed with him as a QB. Mr. Robinson is a very good athlete, who can sometimes throw a pretty good pass, but he just isn't a good QB.

I agree that SR wouldn't end up at Arkansas because they already have Jerry Jones grandson up there, and soon they will have Coach Morris's son, Chandler Morris, there. And that young man IS a good QB. Here are his highlights from the Tyler John Tyler game....

This young man is Mason Fine, only a little bigger and a better runner.

That's blasphemy!

You'd change your tune if this young man changed his commitment to Arkansas and came here to play under SL's system  I don't like Highland Park anymore than I like SMU.  But when he graduates in 2020, I hope we've convinced him to come to NT..

Good thoughts.  You may just be right about Arkansas.

so who do you think will be Fine's replacement after next year?   I think it will be Martin and hope all the qb get some playing time and are allowed to throw the ball in game situations.

Unless all the others just really step it up in the spring, it will be Pearson.
