If he is this close to leaving us and decides to stay how long would it be before the next big opening comes along and the dance starts all over again.   The writing was on the wall when he signed up with that agent. The agent does not get paid until he leaves so I sure he is in Seth's ear.

The greatest part of this whole thing will be when Wren hires a new coach and we will have hired two amazing coaches since Coker left that outpost down 35 and UTSA will STILL be mired in mediocrity. Anyone who thinks this thing will go down in flames hasn't been paying attention to what Wren is all about. And when McCasland rebuilds the BB program and leaves for greener pastures Wren will reload there and keep the ball rolling.

I am sure SL has made the job at UNT a lot more attractive to others around the country.  At least will not be thought of the coaching graveyard. The losing of recruits may hurt the next hc but maybe his recruit follow him.

Exactly. There's absolutely no reason UNT fans should harbour resentment or bitterness towards SL at the moment.

And if he leaves, they still shouldn't! He's done more for this program in the last 3 years than anyone else in over a decade (probably more). I'd love to see our family react like Wren: congratulate him, wish him well, and thank him for the immeasurable advances he's fostered within the program.

Just how I feel about it. But if if leaves and we lose the bowl and the recruiting class falls apart, I think a lot of people will feel that way - especially if he takes any players or recruits with him.

This is the " I need clicks and Views" era. You can ask Vito how some reports are not always squared out. Twitter is now a source.  Listen, no matter what happens, as long as North Texas is positively portrayed in the Media. I count that as a Win.

I just wish the fan base would give up the mentality that we need Seth. We need a competent administration that is committed to investing in athletics and we have that now. The coach we hire after Seth will be a good coach because we have smart people making the decisions now, we have resources, and this is an extremely attractive job.

Especially now that the ugly sister, Fouts, has been reduced to rubble.

But what if we lose Wren too???
