Did I just hear that the new Tx-State coach has been signed for $800,000 a year. If that is true where is the money coming from?

They paid withers 700,000 per year so it’s just a slight increase

What is that like a 15 or 20% increase. They need to start handing out these increases where I work. And he has 0 experience has a head man, right?

The Texas State fees for athletics are much higher than at UNT. I believe they are at $22 per credit hour, which is around $660 per full time student per year. With 29k students, that's an athletic budget of $20 milllion from students, and that's in addition to donations, ticket sales, and media.

Their athletic budget is very similar to UTSA's even though very few attend Texas State games, and their athletic budget is significantly higher than a school like SMU or Tulsa.
