Ladies advance to the 3rd round with a 3-1 win over Wichita State tonight. Beat Tulsa 3-1 last night in the first round.

Will play the winner of Bradley/Iowa State next week at a TBD location (either Denton, Ames, or Peoria).

Looks like it will be Iowa State. They’re up 2-0 on Bradley in Ames.

Our Conference champs Rice who we lost to in the semi final 3-1 just lost to Texas State 3-1 in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Was really hoping Rice was going to make a run...get some respect for our conference, maybe get two teams in next year! Not a good look for CUSA VB getting drilled by Texas State!

It may not look great perception wise but I think Texas State volleyball is actually legit right now.

Next game is Wednesday December 5, 6:00 PM at Iowa State University in Ames Iowa. I wish this could have been in Denton but Ames probably has better weather and airport accessibility.

"The winner of the match will advance to the semifinal round to play the winner of UNLV and Portland. The date, time and site of the match will be announced following the conclusion of the semifinal between the Rebels and Pilots."

If we can get past Iowa State it would be really nice to host a semifinal. I know people like to poo poo on these types of tournaments but it’s great experience for the team and fun for the fans. What’s the harm?
