This is great news for Coach Bill Clark and the entire UAB community.  With this increase and their new facilities, UAB has now moved themselves into the financial area where they will certainly be given strong consideration for AAC membership.

Me thinks they won't look as good when all their 30 year old transfers run out of eligibility, but good for him.

If the Alabama BOR didn't want this program to exist as a CUSA program, they're DEFINITELY not going to let AAC come calling.

UAB is at its peak position unless the political situation changes in Alabama

And...………………………………………..per the CUSA board-

"UAB announced today that it's 5 year capital campaign passed it's goal of raising $1 billion. Not athletics related, but wanted to share since this will play a big role in the continued growth of the university as a whole in the coming years."

So they were able to recruit anyone regardless of grades, prison records, arrests........ Looks they found the secret of playing in the SEC. I don't think I would want him until I can see if he can coach with players that have no exemptions and that have to worry about grades and how the graduation rate that affects your team. Kinda like the rest of CUSA.
