Why is everyone so down on the New Mexico Bowl?  It’s roughly same drive time as NO, and at least it’s agaisnt MWC.

I would love the New Mexico Bowl.   Combine ski trip with bowl game.

I am down on the New Mexico Bowl because if play there I have to stay with my in-laws.  Not a fun time. I would go but it will not be a fun trip for me.  Other than that I don't care.  I just don't see the locals showing up for UNT vs anybody but the Lobos game.  The local media hardly even cover the game because if it is not Albuquerque news. Lobo basketball is the only game in town.

Dallas great for local fans, but we likely get stuck playing a MAC or other G5 there. The other bowls (NM or Independence) probably have better opponents.

I am selfish but the only two games I could make are the frisco bowl or the armed forces bowl so I hope it’s one of those!

I would make date a bigger factor than travel time, but I'm pretty sure most are opposed to both New Orleans and New Mexico, not just New Mexico.

Played on the very first day of bowl season last year. Don't wanna play on the very first day of bowl season this year. It takes away practice/planning time, and most of all, if i'm being honest, it just feels cheap & spare. Later in the season the better. New Mexico can get right the hell out. 

(Also, i still low key want Indy. It just feels/sounds like the most important bowl of the bunch because of it's history, it's almost guaranteed to be against a P5, and I want to drink free booze and gamble in Bossier before and/or after a Mean Green win.)

Personally, I love New Orleans, just not the opponent. I say we try to get the Sugar Bowl.

I hope that we play BYU at Whatever Bowl. Best name appointment I've seen that would excited the UNT casual fan base.
