I read the original article. I didn't see signs of a cover-up. The event was not on UNT campus. Even so, they reported to police, and even hired an independent investigation of program, which found was not systemic and only an isolated event.  I think the news doesn't like the outcome of the investigation and trying to blow it up bigger than it is.

Why would UNT try to hide it?  I guess they want to keep the successful basketball going.  Just some reported trying to make the next big story.  Better keep looking for that story.

Exactly.  Why in the world would we try to hide something going on under Benford?  Any chance to fire him would have been welcomed.

A new investigative report by Dallas news station WFAA claims UNT made efforts to cover up an alleged rape and prostitution ring involving three former UNT men’s basketball team members.

Was it ever reported who allegedly raped this young woman because this article mentions 3 people (Brice, Green, and Johnson). Did the Daily interview the young woman to confirm it was these three individuals?

Plus all of this was old coach, and old administration.

Old coach, current administration. The hiring of Benford and most of his tenure was under the old administration but his last year, and the year this all supposedly occurred, was during the first year of our current administration. It doesn't mean they did anything wrong. I don't have enough to try and make that call. I'm just stating the fact of who was in charge of Athletics when this all went down.
