NT  55 ------------ UMES 27

 Under 8 media TO

It  really does feel like the CBI run never stopped.  Remarkable how we're shredding team after team.  I mean sure there have been some cupcakes, but not all of them have been.

The question that is unanswered, is this NT team very good.   They have dominated as they should against maybe the easiest opening schedule in the country.   Compare this to the women who have lost to two B12 teams.

I think the women may have gained more from the early season than the men.

The very positive is that NT has crushed the cupcakes on their schedule, while I see a lot of teams struggling with and a few even being upset by big underdogs.  NT have crushed these teams without Smart.

I do not consider Hawaii, especially at home, to be a cupcake.

Sure, but outside of them, it’s not been a murderers row so far. We’ll get a better feel where we really stack up playing teams like OU, UTA, New Mexico ect.

Neither do I, but that is one game out of 6.

Outside of the one loss to San Francisco, we won every game in the CBI decisively.

I wish we'd looked better offensively last night but I'm going to choose to be grateful for the defensive play and how far this team has come since Coach McCasland arrived. It wasn't that long ago that we had Coach Benford looking like he didn't know what we was doing and a team that, despite talented players, would barely squeak out wins to cupcake teams.

During Benford’s 5-year tenure at UNT, his teams won 3 games against Division I opponents by 20 or more points.

In the 9 Division I games we have played since the CBI started we have won 3 games by 20 or more points. Also, this margin of victory is greater than any of Benford’s wins against Division I opponents in his 5 years here.

Agreed.  I'm most impressed by the fact that we can still easily win even on those days when the outside shooting isn't quite otherworldly.
