I’m sure this has been brought up before....maybe it’s been tried.

But it seems an annual 4 team “tourney” or round robin or something between UNT, TCU, UTA and SMU would be a good thing.

Could have it at the AAC or rotate home courts?

Would that be hard to schedule? Local interest could be good no?

Well...there you go.

Thing now though is all 4 teams seem to be at least decent. TCU being the strongest for now.

Could be a competitive group of games.

I guess it makes too much sense for it to happen though...I mean we definitely don't want local media attention for the metroplex schools...

“I want to see all these programs do well and help them, but we’re trying to get into the NCAA Tournament,” SMU coach Larry Brown said. “We’re going to try and play every Big 12, SEC, the new Big East schools that we can to help our RPI and help our case to get in the tournament. I’m going to call Baylor every year. I’ll call A&M. I’d be fine playing one of them [smaller local schools] every year, but we’re worried about getting in the tournament.”

Brown pointed out that SMU has tried to play schools within the state every year in nonconference. The Mustangs played Texas State and Sam Houston State this year. They played at Texas State last year.

And SMU and TCU play against each other every year, including in November at the American Airlines Center in a tripleheader that opened the season.

But Brown just doesn’t see participating in an event like Cross envisioned as making sense for his team.

“I just don’t think it’s realistic for us,” he said.

Well, how about a DFW / Houston tournament with NT, UTA, UH, and TSU (Texas Southern), alternating between cities each year?

It's all about March Madness and if RPI becomes an issue, coaches will take level of competition into consideration...above regional attraction.

RPI is no longer going to be used for consideration for seeding in the Men's NCAA tournament.

When are the Rangers gonna get some pitching in here?

and when will Jerry the owner Fire Jerry the GM?

questions like these, as well as the DFW tournament are never going to get answered...but they do get asked a lot.

When are the Rangers going to fire Daniels?

Will Joey Galloway batting average ever hit his weight?

Is Joey Galloway playing some slow pitch softball now that his NFL career is long over?  He's so skinny the Mendoza line may be above his weight.
