We play Washington State at DATCU (Sat) September 13. The time hasn’t been determined yet. Is it too early to starts push to “sell out”. That game ? It’s almost 2 weeks after Labor Day. It will still be warm/hot. Would people commit to buy tickets and be present at that game ? Could we get in front of family re-unions and weddings and birthday parties if we started this early ? Could we ? I’d love to replace Houston as the most attended game at DATCU. Could we ?
Exactly. It all starts at the top.
And it's not an obsessive thing with wanting to see attendance.
Attendance does a lot of things outside of creating an environment that player want to play in and coaches want to coach in. It creates more monies for other things, helps recruiting, helps conference movement, helps, getting chosen to be on TV more often if you have an awesome environment, etc etc. Attendance does several very positive things. It's imperative that it gets fixed. Frankly, if I am Ross, I am questioning this straight to the face of the athletic director. It's obviously talked about inside the lockerroom when players are bringing it up and pointing it out during post games press conferences. It's an issue. And our AD is just sitting on hands. Maybe he has found his WVU and is coasting like Wren did. At least we aren't hearing, "Tony Mitchell with the dunk!"
Get it fixed.
To show you how much Moseley cares.....I've noticed he leaves the basketball games EARLY. About three minutes left in the game, he'll get up...and head up the tunnel. At 6' 7".....he's hard to miss. Very little interaction with the fans. Is he still doing that thing....of answering a question or two a month on X? Laughable. Heck when we were in the pissant Sun Belt.....Wright Waters would answer a dozen or so fan questions....every month.
