He's a great coach and has been for awhile. I bet he leaves UAB after this year for a P5 job, especially since UAB does a lot of talent. But I picked them to win CUSA West because of his coaching ability, the talent they had coming back, and the fact that we had to play them on the road. Their physicality is really tough to beat.

Gee, I wonder what Seth Littrell could do with having kids in your program 2 years without using any eligibility. Or in a situation where you could accept non-qualifiers.  Great job Bill Clark, you used your special rules to your advantage. Let’s see how you do when the playing field levels after a few years.

Yeah, I thought it was funny when the article said they "do it the old fashioned way, by being bigger, stronger & meaner...".  Yeah!  Yathink??
24 & 25yr-old dudes usually are bigger/stronger/meaner than their 18-22yr-old counterparts.

He definitely had some advantages this year, but he already proved himself to me in 2014.  He took a 2-10 program that looked to be headed toward an 0-12 program and a disintegrated program and actually reached bowl eligibility.  I'm going to say that this is well deserved, and I'm glad for him, UAB, and C-USA.

All Mean green pride aside, that guy has earned it. I can't imagine a less desirable position and absolutely knocking it out of the park.

Hope he enjoys the Kansas job next year? (/crosses fingers...)

I would vote him coach of the century, over Saban, if he had been able to do it without the transfer and recruiting benefits the NCAA decided to extend to them.

Even with them, he is still doing a very good job, deserves to be in the coach of the year discussion.  But it also should be noted he is doing it with players that are old enough to be 3rd year NFL players.

All those transfers are about to graduate, but they are going to get the benefits of the recruiting benefits for years.  They were able to sign people and then not have their eligibility start for two years until they started playing again.  On Saturday their #1 QB was hurt and they were able to start a 21 year old freshman.  He'll be 25 when he is a senior.   He got to spend that extra time in the weight program and studying/drilling with coaches.

UAB, and I said it from the start, always planned on bringing back football. It reminds me of a business that files for bankruptcy and cleans house, and then "re-opens" as the "new and improved". They know the loopholes and knew the support they would get and played the system.
