That amazing, NT blowouts SMU and SMU beat UH, yet not one NT player is good enough to start for UH 

If that is true, NT is the best coached lucky team in the land. 

Logic might point to NT being the best team, thus having the better players.

Not so. I sat through the SMU -Tulane game a couple of weeks ago and North Texas would still beat the hell out of either of those two teams. Although SMU prevailed against really bad competition, they still looked far worse than when they played UNT in the opener.

I think SMU is getting better, but its not linear. Their ceiling has moved more than their floor. Still, next season the game will likely not be the gimme it turned out to be this year. That is particularly the case if they find a way to win two of the last three and get the extra practices from going bowling.

I was at this game tonight, . Had to watch football somewhere on my bye week. North Texas would beat UH. Ben Hicks actually pulled his head out of his butt. The UH coaching lost them the game though.
