If anyone wants to take a break from the offseason talk in the other threads, I thought we could talk football. We know less about ODU than most of our other opponents so maybe we could post news, info, and analysis about them here. I saw the below tidbit and it looks like our CBs will have their hands full.

Fulgham, mentioned above, is only the 2nd-leading receiver on their team at 806yds!

Duhart leads the team with 847yds.  It appears either he, or the Monarchs' scheme has put something on film to effectively remove him from the game though.
His last 3 starts:
5 catches for 31yds
5 catches for 74yds
6 catches for 36yds.

I think Nate & Kemon can cover these guys with proper Safety help. Outside of these two guys, there doesn't appear to be much WR depth.

Their QB, Blake LaRussa is a lot like Fine

Listed at 5'10 185.

Completes 65% of his passes

Has a 2:1 TD:INT ratio.

Kesean Strong and Jeremy Cox are their two backs. Strong is more of the small shifty type(5.2 YPC), and Cox is a bruiser at 6'0 235(4.4 YPC)

Yeah, but Fine has a 21:1 TD:INT ratio.

Also forgot to mention they have Oshane Ximines on defense, who is the best DE not named Jaylon Ferguson we'll see all year. He has 8 sacks this year

Our tackles will have their hands full, and will probably get smoked on more than one occasion. I just hope Mason isn't murdered in the backfield because of the complete ineptitude of the OL.

Excellent point. I would like to see a RB/TE chip him and then pop out for a quick pass. Or sometimes have Chumley out there to help.

Can we try max protect and just have Guyton and Bussey working on the outsides?

Then they rush 3-4 and drop 7-8. Can Harrell adjust the play calling?

Of course, he always reverts back to his bread and butter when they change up coverages. QB draws on 3rd and 15.

Fine has a 21-1 TD:INT ratio.  He would have to throw nine straight interceptions without a TD to have a 2-1 ratio.  One of the more incredible stats I have ever seen from a North Texas player.

Our OL problems are mainly picking up blitzes, stunts, etc...
