More on the big weekend for the Air Raid guys: Former #TexasTech OC (and WR) Eric Morris' Incarnate Word team upset the No. 6 team in FCS McNeese State, 45-17. The year before Morris took over, Incarnate Word was 1-10. This year they're 4-3.

There's a big leap from D-II to FCS, let alone D-II to FBS, let alone D-II to FBS conference contenders. I think we could to much better than Carthel. Maybe as a position coach or coordinator, but not HC.

Heck, with what we're paying, we would likely have our pick of just about any P5 OC/DC we want.

Yeah paying big boy money to a coach from a lower level sounds like a recipe for disaster.

I would feel much better about that hire than hiring a D-II or FCS coach. Please no more up and coming high school coaches

Yes, it can be done. It just doesn't happen very often. The more likely outcome is bad. I'd rather stick to finding the up and coming P5 coordinator looking with lower division HC experience.
