Haven't seen it mentioned (maybe it was) but one of the coaching choices made in the game that really backfired was the short kick after we went up 14-3 that UAB returned big. It really brought life back to them, and they scored right after. They were about to get run like last year but we let them back in.

Sometimes a Special Teams coach who only has that responsibility just overthinks things. Just kick it into the end one all game like UAB did.
