Welcome to the spread offense...can’t get short yardage when you face a tough defense...

You don't need short yardage. You need a first down.

Why we bang our heads against a wall for 1 yard when we can pick up 5-10 every play is baffling.

Why run for the yard when you can just throw the ball out in the flat to Darden?

Darden was a HUGE bright spot tonight & gave us a glimpse of what he’s going to be doing a lot more.

I’m right there with you. We finally tried it and it got batted down on the 4th down play.

How many carries did Nick Smith get tonight?  He had a 5 yard average in the first half...on all of like 4 carries?

Rick

Answer: 3 carries for 18 yards.

5.7 yards per carry.

Sit down Nick...we can’t use ya!

I wanted to see Nic Smith more because he has better vision than Torrey. Torrey is more powerful, but when you need to slip a tackle to get one yard, I think Smith would have been a better option.

If the O-Line can't make enough space for Nic to pick up a yard, they have something in common with THIS guy...200w.gif?cid=3640f6095bcbf6fc45585a35329 they suck!

Baffling, but it seems to happen every game lately--LaTech, UTEP,UAB. If your going on fourth down at least call a play that stands a chance. If you have no play at least punt for field position, batted down balls at the line are going to happen with a 5 ft. 10 in. QB
