Yes. I think our only shot was also in landing Renfro. They seemed to be close.

I don't know if he will be missed. We do a great job of developing our receivers. Our problem is an O-line that doesn't protect the QB long enough to get the ball away to those receivers without the QB having to throw early. Secondly we need an OC that recognizes that the O-line is a problem and adjusting the game to shorter passing routes that allows the ball to get out faster. Shorter wasn't rated as high as this guy, but man he is becoming great. Simpson was not rated as highly, but as a freshman, he came on strong. We can develop receivers. We need to develop the line.

Great point concerning our short, quick passing game. I wonder if Masons ht came into play, because we ran 0 Quick slants or outs to the slot. I also would like to see some of our RB motion from the backfield to Reciever , like the Cowboys did with Dunbar. GMG

Thinking there will be a lot of younger players in the portal this year. With everything that happened a lot of players spent little to no time at the schools before they signed.

That's the player from Ellis County that I was referring to.  I knew that he had left Washington State and heard that he might have been considering us again.  He's in the transfer portal so we could offer.
