Gasparilla Bowl (Tampa) — Cincinnati vs. North Texas — 8 p.m., Dec. 20

The Mean Green may have a shot to stay close to home and play in the First Responders Bowl in Dallas, but Louisiana Tech should have first dibs on that game. This would be a healthy trip for UNT fans, but Cincinnati would offer a solid match-up.

I'm seeing mostly us in the SERVPRO Dallas bowl from all the bowl projections.

I saw that Army vs UNT prediction on ESPN and almost threw up seeing that..

I like that Minnesota matchup.  Especially if they roll in here with 8 wins.  They'll be very confident despite only beating up on the bottom of the B1G.

I don't like that Purdue matchup.   They'll have to defeat not 1, but 2 ranked teams to be eligible (they've already beat 1).  They'll be battle-tested & are on the rise with coach Brohm starting to get things clicking there.

Since it is this early in the season and bowl predictions are pretty much meaningless right now...I'll make a prediction..

 

UNT VS ALABAMA in the Sugar Bowl.  Hey, it is as valid as any other bowl prediction in October.  Go Mean Green!

I like the Minnesota matchup too. especially a B1G conference opponent.. Ideally, a fanbase the travels well, Because UNT is going to put up 40k at minimum in that bowl. And a team that is in the B1G is a good named opponent and close being in the midwest.
