Has this guy even been to the Alamodome?   I don't think the Alamodome is the worst stadium - ever been to Rust On, how about UAB - but it's not the best.

I think Apogee is pretty damn special.  So did the Interim Commissioner of the Big 12 after he took a tour of it upon completion.  He couldn't believe what we got for the price.

That's like saying Tulane downgraded from the "best AAC stadium" because they used to be leasing the Superdome. 
Now, they're in their own on-campus stadium.  It's very nice, but obviously not nearly as nice as one of the nicest sports facilities in America.

Sorry, but when you're leasing a stadium, you don't "have a stadium".   Therefore, you cannot "have the best stadium".

When people say UTSA has the worst facilities I don't think the emphasis is on the football stadium.  Having a dome stadium in San Antonio is great for them.  What about their other facilities?  Isn't their basketball arena awful?

The Alamodome is a piece of junk.  It's a disgrace to even put the Alamo name on it.

It is the best assuming the game is in a rain storm.  There also is no comparison between the Super Dome and the Alamo Dome.  

I was amazed how bad of shape it was in last time NT played there.  I do however, think it gives UTSA a very good home field advantage.

True.  I haven't been there, so I can't speak to its condition.   

All I know is, whenever the City of San Antonio gives or sells it to UTSA, then they can begin to argue "they have" the best stadium.

I don't think they have plans to build their own stadium.  We only played at Texas Stadium a few times for neutral site games.

The Alamodome is one of the sorriest indoor places to watch a college football game you’ll ever experience.  It’s so bad that, considering we are joined at the conference-affiliated hip with nUTSAck,...I find myself actually hoping for them to find a way to build their own place...or use a local high school stadium.

Benson Stadium is newer and nicer and has a good campus feel. Plus utsa could probably fill it without KFC giveaways.
