It would be extremely stupid to publicize exactly how much each player is paid. That would only highlight exactly what other teams needed to "Pony" up to steal our players away. It would also cause tremendous chaos in the locker room. UNT cannot afford at this time to pay every player on the roster a flat salary like UT and SMU does. Everything is not a conspiracy against the fans. If you are too cheap to help out the program on NIL then so be it. Stop using it as an excuse on why why you refuse to financially support the program.- 1

Should we add Texas State to the AAC?
Dont worry about the old Pac12, worry about the new one. Just look at who they are adding: Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Utah State, and Gonzaga in basketball. I'm a little surprised they did not get UNLV (yet), but thats still a good athletic conference, and if they poach Memphis then why stay in the AAC? -

Based on the last financial statement available (issued 1/05/2024 - waiting for the next on), we spent $8,432,941 on AD/Staff compensation, benefits and bonuses and another $4,083,277 on Direct Overhead and "Administrative Expenses." The AD spent $908,610 on Fund Raising, Marketing and Promotion. That's across all athletic programs. It's all about priorities.
