There's a non zero chance that the Big XII could miss the playoffs entirely. I doubt it happens, but if enough chaos takes place between all of the teams that have a chance (something like 8 teams are mathematically alive), the right combination could have the winner fall behind Tulane in the final poll. It's not likely, but it's a possibility. -

The Band
The first time I noticed our half time show having the rifle twirlers, I was really surprised. Maybe I'm out of touch because I don't go to a lot of college or HS games anymore, but I associate (fake) rifle twirling with high school bands. I remember some high schools introducing that back in the 80's. I don't recall noticing it with any of the larger college half time shows, but I could be wrong. High school bands usually have a flag corp, or color guard, but I've seen plenty of college marching bands with those as well. -

Sometimes it is a benefit to live out west for these late games. Looks like Memphis gets Auburn.
