The last time UNT went 4-0 to start the season

To put this week in perspective, the last time UNT went 4-0 was in...1959.

We went 8-0 that season (1959) before running into a loss at Tulsa in the 9th game. We went undefeated through the first 8 games of 1967, but that included a 31-31 tie with NMSU in the 3rd game of the year.

We have a great chance to break that 8-0 record.  I think La Tech is the toughest challenge we have to get there, and considering that is Parent's Weekend and the day we unveil the Mean Joe Greene statue it could be a sell out.  We have to start pumping up that game for a sell out.  I need it so bad!

8-2 in 1966.  Won the first four against NMSU, UTEP, Louisville (Louisville!), and Tampa before losing to Tulsa by a field goal.
