Our offense did not play to their potential against Arkansas and we hammered them.  Fine does not allow a letdown and we come out hitting on all cylinders ala the smuT game.

Either your idea of Fascism is incorrect, or your idea of Liberty is...

The Liberty QB is the best QB we will have faced so far this season.

I believe our secondary will have something to say about that.

We hammered them because the defense and special teams stepped up. Offense only scored half the points, and in a perfect world, they score 40 each game with the defense adding on top of that.

After that display Saturday, why would anyone have lack of confidence in our team to go up and beat hell out of these pretenders? Don’t get me wrong, Fascism - I mean Liberty - may even be a better team than Arkansas at this point, but not much better in any case.

Please explain.

We'll slap them around.

UAB is the trap game.

Why's that?    We're playing Rice the next week.  No reason to look past UAB, who should be undefeated in conference play when we go to Birmingham, looking to unseat us at the top of C-USA West.

@ODU may be a trap... good thing they're just awful.

The Liberty stadium holds 19,200 fans and in the game with ODU university it looked really full.  I think it will be sell out for them and it will be loud.  Still think we win this one pretty big.

Key is putting pressure on the quarterback, ODU gave him all the time he needed to pick them a part.  I know Liberty has a good receiver but I think SMUT, ARK has better ones and we did well in coverage. When I watched the spring game I could never figure out if our run game was bad or our run defense was good.   I think our run defense is very good except for the 3rd string has some weakness there. Which helped the other teams stats and do not reflect how we dominated them.  If the 1st string had stayed in the fourth qtr SMUT may have had 5 first downs for the game.

Easly looked very good against Ark and showed some power, Liberty could not handle Army's run game.  What feat will the special teams pull off this week? They always seem do something to help our cause.

I thought Liberty played Army very well.   As we should know those option running teams are hard to prepare for and stop.

Liberty does have a big emotional edge and sometimes that is enough.

If NT maintains their focus and I have no reason to think they won't.    I doubt Liberty can stop NT's offense and NT's defense should raise havoc with their offense.

Until I moved back to Texas a few years ago I lived in Richmond, VA for nearly a decade and went to Lynchburg more than a few times for business.  It's very pretty country with trees and hills.  My favorite thing about Lynchburg was they had the only Dickey's BBQ in the state until a few years ago when one opened in Richmond.  If you're looking for Mexican food there's a Chey's in Richmond.  It's the only decent Mexican food with a few hundred miles.

I know lots of people who work with Liberty, have kids who go to Liberty, or are simply fans of Liberty.  They are some of the greatest people I know.  Don't rush to judge the people or the school based on what you may hear about them.  Don't ask me about Jerry Falwell because I never paid attention to him when he lived.

I get a lot of video clips from Liberty games on Facebook and they always have a good, strong crowd.  It will be a really good college atmosphere minus the booze.  They might be the best offense we've seen so far this season but we should handle them well.  I see another game where we should be well ahead at the half.

As Lyle Lovett said, "Never eat Mexican food east of the Mississippi or north of Dallas."  We all know Denton has some great Mexican food and is technically north of Dallas, but you get the point.

Focus on the game at hand. Liberty will be all mental preparation for the Mean Green. Can Seth get the team ready????This is his big game.....and will be successful.

I see we have the people rushing to defend Fascism - I mean Liberty - university. It is not a libertarian place, my friends. It is a place where you walk the walk and talk the talk, or else.

I can tell that you don't need to use Viagra...just say the word "Liberty" and it elicits an immediate reaction:

Important question that just crossed my mind...do we know where the game officials are from?

They are Independents this year, but perhaps from their old FCS conference. Just SWAG.

You can get decent hispanic (not Mexican so much as El Salvadorian, and others) food in Northern Virginia. Lot of immigration over the past 10-20 years.

Excited to watch this game! You guys are definitely the best team we've hosted as the next ones down would be ODU (first FBS team at Williams Stadium) or JMU a few years back. Our New stadium opened this year and seats 25,000, we had about 23,000 for ODU. I hope those in attendance anjoy the game atmosphere!

Thank you for the insights. Your athletics facilities are very impressive. Is there somewhere we can see them and total up the investment Liberty has made in facilities in recent years? If memory serves me correctly, I believe it’s nearing $500,000,000 or so.

I'm pretty sure their IPF was one of a handful Wren & Smatresk visited when investigating how we wanted ours to be built.

The most recent is 1 billion.  Here's a short video.  It's about 6 months old, so the football stadium progress is dated.
