I know our average yard per carry is pretty low but I've been somewhat pleased with the run game overall. They've done a good job at getting short yardage when needed which is an improvement over the past 2 years when they could get yards all game unless at the goal line. Still lots to improve on but I feel like I trust them more thks year in short yardage. Easly has looked good when he gets past the o-line too.

Honestly, I would feel much more comfortable playing a team that sucks at pass defense.

I still believe UNT will win this -as the D has been too stable and if you actually saw part of the ODU game you realize that they only pulled away once ODU kind of quit. But, with this kind of being a "let-down lookahead sandwich" while Liberty will have been doing nothing but preparing for UNT for two weeks, I do think this could be the first game where we are really still sweating toward the end of the 3rd quarter. I trust SL will get their minds to fairly good, but its hard to have that completely out of the players heads.

I wondered if the weather might be a factor so I checked the 7-day forecast online. Liberty's  favorite weatherman is Robert Cray and he is usually accurate. Here is what he has for them for next Saturday...

Early forecast: rain/thunderstorms and a high of 86.

I really hope that it will not be a rain game. If it becomes a mudfest that makes passing super difficult, that is a way I can see UNT actually losing this game.
